With a 3:00a.m. departure, the twenty-hour trip put the team into Puerto Ayacucho at 11:00p.m. It was a long day with minimal incident. One of the Christian families (center of group) hosted the team for the first night and a good part of the next day while the team rested and recovered from the trip. That same afternoon, the team traveled to the community of Morrocoy (about an hour from Puerto Ayacucho) for the beginning of the activities.
