Elimet met Bob Brown and Ava Conley on a guided tour through Venezuela,
at a time when there was no church in Valera. Bob and Ava promised her that
they would come back and start a church there. Eight years later, Elimet
and her husband Jose (on left) were of the first to welcome the campaign
participants who had come to help start a congregation in Valera in March
2000.
