While in San Cristobal, David was able to meet Daniel Quintero. Daniel is the local youth minister and Mandy Curo's fiance. They will be married in a civil ceremony in Venezuela May 22, 2004 and will have a church ceremony in San Diego, California, August 7, 2004.
