Carlos Briceño (left), a brother from the city of Valera who was baptized from the first campaign in March 2000, was visiting in Caracas in order to make arrangements for a surgery he needed to have. During his time in the city, he worked and worshipped with the church in East Caracas, becoming good friends to all. Several of the brothers went to donate blood in his name before the operation. Through complications after the surgery, Carlos was taken from this earth, leaving a tremendous feeling of shock and sadness. Four members from East Caracas traveled to Valera to be with his family and friends during the funeral.
