Shining Like Stars... Philippians 2:15-16
November 5-7 2004
Just over a year ago, when the Church of Christ in the East was not even a year old, they were invited to host the 2004 Central Venezuela Women's Conference. After much prayer and consideration, the congregation decided to accept this challenge and began plans to "do it right," meaning they wanted to organize a three-day retreat, not just a Saturday seminar, as had been done the past ten years. Dedicating this event with much prayer to the Lord, God truly blessed all the planning, preparation and purpose of the event, which took place Friday to Sunday, November 5-7, 2004. Ninety-three ladies from twelve congregations came together for a weekend of Bible lessons, prayer time, discussion groups, fellowship, and much more. Everyone left feeling blessed and uplifted -- the sisters and the fifteen contacts who also were in attendance. God even blessed the retreat by holding off the rain throughout the duration of the activities!
