Michelle’s first
commitment to missions began with a dedication to move to Bogotá,
Colombia, to help start a church in the northern part of the city.
Even though plans fell through for a permanent move to that capital
city, she was present for the planting of a congregation in north
Bogotá in March 2000. She returns to Bogotá more than
once each year to encourage and assist in that ministry.
Michelle enjoys any opportunity
to visit and encourage the church in Bogotá. She is able
to teach multiple ladies' classes and maintain relationships with
many of the women.
After almost a year without visiting
the work in north Bogotá, there were many visits, a seminar
with Daniel Mata, from Venezuela, and the opportunity to introduce
another north-American to the work in Bogotá.
